7 Steps For Building An Email List

If you want to have a successful online business, then one thing you must do is build a list. The reason for building this list is so you can email them to promote affiliate products or your own products.
To build your list follow these 7 steps:
1. Set up an account with a good web hosting company.
You will need a web hosting company to host your website which will have your sign up form or squeeze page.
2. Set up an account with a good autoresponder service.
This is the most important piece you will need. This service will help you organize, avoid spam violations and be able to automate the whole process.
3. Create a sign up form in your autoresponder account.
This form will have the boxes where your subscribers can put their name and email address.
4. Create a product to give away. i.e. - A 5 Day Ecourse
You have to give your potential subscriber a reason to give you his/her name and email address. I like to use an e-course because you are giving your subscriber quality free content and building trust at the same time.
5. Load your 5 day e-course into your autoresponder.
After you put the emails in the autoresponder, each email will go out automatically and you can choose the time they go out as well.
6. Create a One Time Offer after they subscribe
After they hit the submit button create a one time offer page. This page will first tell your subscriber thank you and your first email has been sent. Now Before you go check out this offer. This offer should be of great quality and at a discounted price.
One time offers not only can make you extra money but you are also building a list of buyers as well.
7. Generate Traffic To Your Sign Up Form
Write articles about your niche and submit them to article directories like ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com and articledashboard.com.
In the resource box of your article, have a link to your squeeze page.
Remember you want to build a relationship with your list. By building a relationship you are also building trust within your list. When you have this trust, then it will be much easier to make a sale later on.
If you follow these steps then you can build yourself a quality email list.
